MX has put in place a disclosure notice that allows users to easily see what data is shared and with whom, giving them the information needed to manage, approve, or revoke access if necessary.
The new disclosure notice offers consumers transparency within the account connection flow by providing visibility into what data is collected and the third-party providers that have access. This notice follows FDX experience guidelines and core principles, open banking best practices, and meets the requirements of both the CFPB's ANPR and Section 1033 of the Dodd-Frank Act.
Starting April 15, each time Connect is loaded, the first thing a user will see is the new disclosure modal explaining the types of data that will be gathered and shared. Clicking “Continue” will proceed to the normal flow for whatever configuration option has been given with the Connect widget request.
This enhancement will be the new default flow for all clients beginning on April 15, 2021.
